NOW: Notre Dame wins lacrosse National Championship

PHILADELPHIA - The Notre Dame men's lacrosse team won their first NCAA national championship on Monday, upsetting Duke to take home the victory.

This was the Fighting Irish's third appearance in an NCAA championship final, competing against Duke in 2010 and 2014, but falling short both times.

Nine years since their last NCAA finals appearance, the Irish took home the victory with a score of 13-9.

This was also the first victory for head coach Kevin Corrigan, who has been with the program for 35 years.
